The citation given for the crusader is Albert d'Aix (Aquensis), Historia Hierosolymitanae expeditionis, viii, 40, 42 (Migne, Pat. Lat. 166). It says that this Bernard became governor of Longinias in Cilicia (Asia Minor) and in 1001 gave sanctuary to William, Count of Poictou there.
