Note. Some ancient burials in Gloucester Cathedral were noted in the 1905 book 'The Cathedral Church of Gloucester' with a description of the fabric and a brief history of the Episcopal See. On page 101 is The Chapter House which lists the burial there of Walter (Gualterus) de Lacy and other notables such as Richard FitzGilbert 'Strongbow' de Clare (Ricds Strongbowe, filius Gilberti, Comitius de Pembroke) - possible heart burial, as well as Bernard de Neufmarche (Bernardus de Novo Mercatu).
