Cawley, Charles Medieval Lands: a Prosopography of Medieval European Noble and Royal Families. (Hereford, UK: Foundation for Medieval Genealogy, 2006), citing, "The name of Kenneth's wife is not known. The Prophecy of Berchán (dated to the early 11th century?[161]) records that the mother of King Malcolm II came from Leinster[162]. If this report is accurate, Kenneth’s status suggests that his wife would have been the daughter of one of the kings of Leinster (see the document IRELAND). Insufficient information is known about the several 10th century Leinster kings to be able to guess which onemight have been her father.chap. 1, Malcolm, 2. Kenneth.
